Asia-Pacific Conference on Offshore Wind (APCOW)
APCOW (Asia-Pacific Conference on Offshore Wind) is the first academic conference in Asia led by academia. It is built on Kyushu University’s long-standing research network in wind power generation, developed in collaboration with universities across Asia, including China, Taiwan, and South Korea, as well as institutions in Europe and the United States.
Held from November 25 to 27, 2024, the 1st APCOW brought together approximately 200 researchers, experts, and industry representatives from around the world, particularly from Asia, to engage in active discussions on the latest developments in offshore wind technology and ways to address current challenges in the field.
The 2nd APCOW was held in Shenzhen, China, from December 15 to 17, 2025.

The conference will continue to be held regularly, with the host country rotating among participating countries.
