On June 15, 2026, a delegation of nine members from the University of Michigan, led by Professor Lei Zou, visited RECOW.

During the visit, Professor Hayabuchi and Professor Hu introduced RECOW’s activities in the field of marine renewable energy research and development. This was followed by an introduction to the University of Michigan’s activities by Professor Zou. Students from Professor Hu’s laboratory and the University of Michigan delegation then presented their research and engaged in active discussions on topics such as research and student life. The visit provided a valuable opportunity for participants to deepen their exchanges.

The delegation also toured the university’s research facilities, including the wind tunnel and water tank, which helped them gain a deeper understanding of the center’s research activities.

Through this visit, international exchange among students and researchers was promoted, and mutual understanding was deepened.
