Preparatory Meeting for the “Kyushu University Offshore Wind Asia Advisory Board” Held

On November 28, 2025, Kyushu University held a preparatory meeting for the “Kyushu University Offshore Wind Asia Advisory Board.

The meeting brought together researchers from China, Korea, and Taiwan to exchange views on the future of offshore wind research and educational collaboration in the Asia–Pacific region. From Kyushu University, RECOW Director Prof. Tanimoto and faculty members of the Offshore Wind Research and Education Center (RECOW) took part, and the meeting was conducted in a hybrid format, combining an in-person venue with online participation.

During the meeting, the role and operational policies of the Advisory Board were shared, and numerous proposals were made regarding the medium- to long-term direction of research strategies, educational programs, international collaboration, and industry–academia partnerships.

Through this meeting, RECOW reaffirmed its commitment to working with key countries in the Asia–Pacific region to further develop educational programs and strengthen human resource development, and to helping establish Kyushu University as a central hub for offshore wind research and education in Asia.
